ST. RAPHAEL’S PARISH CELEBRATES THE FEAST DAY OF BLESSED MICHAEL McGIVNEY

Our new Pastor and Chaplin of Pope Pius XII Council, Sir Knight Father Leo Song, has strongly endorsed the recognition of our Founder, Blessed Michael McGivney, on his Feast Day, Sunday, August 13. As we did last year, Brother Knights are needed at all 5 Masses, to hand out Blessed McGivney prayer cards, to each parishioner as they enter the Church, at all entrances. Near the end of each Mass, before the Blessing, parishioners will be asked to recite the Prayer for the Canonization of Blessed Michael McGivney. The Founder of the Knights of Columbus was elevated to Blessed by Pope Francis on October 31, 2020.

Brother Knights who are Ushers, are asked to coordinate other Brothers or volunteers at their specific Mass, to hand prayer cards to each parishioner as they enter the Church. If possible, two Brothers at the main, north and south entrances would be the ideal.

To sign up for this special Parish-wide celebration please contact Deputy Grand Knight, Tony Spinelli, at 516538-0179 or via email: Spinelli.AnthonyJ@gmail.com Thank you for your dedication to the principles we all vowed to uphold, established 141 years ago, by Blessed Father Michael McGivney.
